About us:

Welcome to Youth Education and Safety

“Helping Youth to Protect Their Future”

At Y.E.S. Consulting, we are dedicated to supporting school communities responsible for educating our children. Drawing on two decades of law enforcement experience, we are passionate about creating safer and more inclusive educational environments. Our mission is to help schools address and prevent antisocial behaviors, ranging from peer pressure to gang violence, through our comprehensive Y.E.S. Program.

Our Program

The Y.E.S. Program offers a diverse array of high-quality presentations, including standard informative sessions, interactive trivia games, and engaging workshops. These are all designed to both entertain and educate students about the dangers of antisocial behavior and its potential to negatively impact their futures. While many schools focus on Social Emotional Learning (S.E.L.), we emphasize the importance of understanding the consequences of poor choices. By doing so, we aim to inspire students to make better decisions and lead more positive lives.

Our Commitment

In many schools, valuable resources are often diverted to disciplinary measures, detracting from the educational mission. Y.E.S. Consulting was established to alleviate this burden by offering reactive and preventative solutions. We manage these challenges so that educators can focus on what they do best—teaching.

A Holistic Approach

We believe in a holistic approach that includes community awareness, prevention, intervention, and enforcement. Our tailored solutions are designed to meet the unique needs of each educational institution, ensuring that students are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

We invite you to join us in creating safer and more inclusive educational environments. Together, we can unlock the transformative power of education and make a lasting difference in students’ lives worldwide. Mission Statement:

“Helping youth to protect their future” by educating youth on promoting safety and inclusivity in schools and communities through a proactive and comprehensive approach.

Y.E.S. SERVICES

In pursuit of enhancing schools' capacity to address antisocial behaviors effectively, it is not uncommon to witness the implementation of zero-tolerance policies and the reinforcement of sanctions for rule violations. However, despite their good intentions, these reactive measures often prove ineffective, ultimately displacing the problem rather than resolving it.

At Y.E.S. Consulting, we believe in holistic strategies for tackling antisocial behavior, comprising four interrelated components: community awareness, prevention, intervention, and enforcement. Our approach underscores the need for a multifaceted plan to combat antisocial behavior while promoting community safety and support. It places paramount importance on a coordinated effort that unites various stakeholders, from the community to law enforcement and social services, to address this complex issue comprehensively.

Community Awareness:

  •  In the initial phase, our focus centers on raising awareness and educating the community about antisocial behavior. This stage aims to make the community aware of antisocial behavior, its underlying causes, potential consequences, and its impact on individuals and society. (This can reduce stigma and encourage a collective commitment to addressing the problem.)

Prevention:

  • After establishing awareness, preventative measures are needed to mitigate the risk factors associated with antisocial behavior. Prevention efforts predominantly target youth and families, aiming to reduce the likelihood of antisocial behavior developing in the first place. (Prevention is often more effective and cost-efficient than addressing the issue after it has created.)

Intervention:

  • The intervention phase addresses individuals who have already engaged in antisocial behavior or are at a high risk of doing so. The primary goals here are rehabilitation, reintegration into society, and exploring the root causes of their behavior. (Intervention is crucial for those who have already engaged in antisocial behavior.)

Enforcement:

  • In the enforcement phase, we believe it is a last resort to ensure that individuals who persist in antisocial behavior are held accountable for their actions. This involves law enforcement and the legal system, emphasizing enforcing consequences while maintaining a primary commitment to community safety. (Enforcement must work with the other components to support rehabilitation and reintegration where possible.)

Our comprehensive strategies empower us to make a significant and lasting impact on the challenge of antisocial behavior, thereby cultivating a safer and more inclusive environment for all. Y.E.S. Consulting is steadfast in its dedication to building a better and safer future by reshaping how we address antisocial behavior within schools and communities.

The Y.E.S. (Youth Education and Safety) program is a comprehensive and inclusive initiative designed to address and prevent antisocial behaviors through education and practical solutions. It caters to a diverse audience, including school administrators, teachers, students, community members, and stakeholders committed to fostering safer and more inclusive environments. The program aims to create awareness and equip individuals with the necessary tools to identify, understand, and mitigate various antisocial behaviors within schools and communities.

The Y.E.S. Program aligns seamlessly with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) by providing youth with early education about antisocial behavior, naturally encouraging them to strive for better outcomes. This proactive approach lays the groundwork for students to be more receptive to SEL principles, fostering their overall growth and development.

Here's how the Y.E.S. Program coincides with Social Emotional Learning:

  1. Early Education on Antisocial Behavior:

The Y.E.S. Program educates students about antisocial behaviors from an early age, helping them understand the negative consequences of such actions. This awareness promotes self-reflection and a desire to make positive choices, a key component of SEL.

2. Encouraging Positive Behavior:

When students know the impacts of antisocial behavior, they are more likely to aspire to conduct and interpersonal relationships better. This aspiration aligns with the SEL objective of promoting responsible decision-making and positive relationship skills.

3. Building a Foundation for SEL:

The Y.E.S. Program's focus on addressing and preventing antisocial behaviors provides a solid foundation for students to engage with SEL concepts. As they learn to recognize and avoid negative behaviors, they become more open to developing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

4. Creating a Safe and Supportive Environment:

The Y.E.S. program helps create the conditions necessary for effective SEL by fostering a safer and more inclusive school environment. Students feel more secure and supported, which enhances their ability to engage with and benefit from SEL initiatives.

5. Promoting Long-Term Positive Change:

The program's commitment to continuous monitoring and evaluation ensures that the positive impacts on student behavior and SEL are sustained over time. This long-term approach helps cultivate a school culture that values and integrates SEL into everyday learning.

In summary, the Y.E.S. Program's early education on antisocial behavior encourages students to strive for better outcomes, making them more receptive to Social Emotional Learning. This synergy helps students develop essential life skills, fostering a safer, more inclusive, and emotionally intelligent school environment.
